02 Install and verify
Step 1
Use Canon’s OS selector before treating any recorded filename as current.
Step 2
For a first connection, follow Master Setup; for a missing function, choose the matching print, scan, fax or network utility.
Step 3
Verify a test print and scan preview; test fax only if that function is configured and used.
Your success check
A successful creative-tool install is not proof that the printer or scanner path works.

Current manufacturer guidance for Canon MAXIFY GX4020
Canon’s US GX4020 product entry lists print, copy, scan and fax functions. This distinguishes it from the print-only GX5020; packages and setup expectations should follow the exact model.
Choose the appropriate setup route
Choose the GX4020 support entry. When scanning is required, check its scanner software and setup instructions rather than substituting a GX5020 print package.
